Before going strait to your new Blog consider taking the “Tutorial” on the HomeBuyersWiki Sandbox. Try the WYSWIG editor and upload your photo. Copy / Paste your Bio page from your website, like ColoradoML.com. Go ahead and make a Topic in the Wiki in the SummitCounty Web for EddieOBrien. Follow the tutorial on “how to create a new Topic”.
Or, you can go strait to the Blog, register at http://www.wordpress.com and try the Hello World. Then make a blog for ‘prudentialobrien.wordpress.com’ and put one name in for each agent. I did a complete example for everyone!!
I did a brokerage blog for Buyers Best Choice Real Estate with one Category for each Agent + one for the Broker + one for the Company. See http://buyersbestchoice.wordpress.com
But Each Agent will want there own Blog, so Theresa can Blog about Aurora, Kari about Boulder, etc … This one is just a ‘basic blog’ for the Broker.
I also created Agent pages on the Wiki. Those are here:

What is a WikiWord? A WikiWord is a compound word with uppercase for each word. You can run together any phrase, like RealEstateInvestor to create a WikiWord.
On the HomeBuyersWiki any WikiWord will be “automaticlly’ linked (called a Hyperlink) to its definition, but when you write in the Blog, or homepage then you are no longer in the HomeBuyersWiki and you will not “automatically” get a hyperlink. Also, in the HomeBuyersWiki, you also need a “quick way” or “Wiki way” to make hyperlinks to external content (links to websites outside the Wiki). Just follow this example!
In the web browser, go to the web site you want to link to so that its URL is in the Address window of the browser and cut / paste that hyperlink directly into your ‘Write Post’ or Blog text. When you paste in the URL it will turn ‘blue’ so it is a ‘live hyperlink’. Once the link is pasted in then you can just select it and then type in the WikiWord you want for the link.
For example: I might have original link like: http://blog.colorado-homestore.com and after pasting that in I just re-select it and type in BlogColoradoHomeStore and I turn it into a WikiWord automatically. This is a HUGE time saver! I have created an example Post from the Denver blog as a larger example for how to do this.
NOTE: The WikiWords for Agent WebSites on the Wiki can also be used for Agent BlogSites. Both tools are more or less the same to learn and use. If you want to start off with an Agent Blog then you can try http://www.wordpress.com I made a simple example that you can follow from here: http://idxsi.wordpress.com.
Example Post Today on blog.colorado-homestore.com
The DenverStreetMap and DenverSateliteMap show the layout of streets, homes, and real estate in Denver, Colorado. In December of 2006 Denver’s T-REX project opened a new light rail public transportation system that connects Denver lower downtown, called LODO, with the DenverTechCenter. The DenverLightRail has become an “instant success” with full ridership stunning city planners and many reports of reduced commuting times and less stress in utilizing the new Denver light rail.
RealEstateInvestor’s tip! In Denver, parking is difficult to find at certain stations and complaints have rolled in about crammed trains and cars haphazardly parked on private property adjacent to the stations, stories that are repeated around the country. Walking distance to the new light-rail stations is a “good thing”.

You can make a public real estate events calendar in Google for your brokerage and it will be searched in Google. Also, events can be shared with other brokers, so it is yet another way to network with other Buyer Brokers.
A subdomain name or HTTP redirection is not needed for the calendars, but it can make it easier to find the websites, for example we made:
www.sandiegohomesre.com/calendar, www.colorado-homestore.com/calendar
We also made some HTTP redirects for easy to type names for the forums, such as:
www.sandiegohomesre.com/faqforum, www.colorado-homestore.com/faqforum, and www.idxsi.com/faqforum

Agents that want to get started promoting there business in a Blog can get a free blog from www.wordpress.com. Please post here if you need any assitance in getting started.
The home buyers wiki http://www.homebuyerswiki.com has some facilities for greatly extending our cooperation and networking with others helping home buyers to find the right home at the right price. I sent out an overload of emails on this topic recently.
Also, the wiki has a slide-show capability if you would like to make any home buyer slide shows. We are hoping to do a demo soon with one of Eddie O’Briens listings in Summit County from his website: http://www.coloradoml.com.

if you register for http://del.icio.us/ then I can put interesting housing-related bookmarks into your folder to look at when you have some free time. My subscription bookmarks are here: http://del.icio.us/subscriptions/idxsi
You can also link to your own or my http://del.icio.us/subscriptions/idxsi and to your own personal bookmarks on the web if you want to share them with your http://www.homebuyerswiki.com visitors.
My personal home-related bookmarks are here: http://del.icio.us/idxsi
I know sometimes we have people in the office on a “slow weekend” where there may not be much “happening” on the phones, or much walk-in traffic.
These are good times to work on the Internet and to help direct visitors on your http://www.homebuyerswiki.com sites to more useful info.
